New model STH sweeper: The Phoenix PX 1802 Publication date: 28-05-2009 Press release New model STH sweeper: The Phoenix PX 1802 Schouten Machines B.V. manufacturer of the STH products has renewed the Phoenix grass and leave sweeping machines. In the new model PX 1802 new insights into technique and design have risen to a renewed model. To improve the weight carriage during road transport, in reference to the stronger and faster tractors that are used in the groundscare sector, a new undercarriage has been mounted. This undercarriage consists of 4 independent pivoting wheels in the sive 20 x 10.00-10 (size 225x500mm) with a great carrying capacity and suitable for transport speeds up to 40 km/h. The STH machines are well known for their solidarity. To further improve this all plating works are not mounted over top of each other with prop and chain welds between which rust forming can occur. No they are mounted with bolt attachments. Therefore there is also a coating between the seams. Hydraulic cylinders for tipping the storage bin are mounted outside the bin in a dry and clean place instead of inside where they were exposed to clippings and dirt. This increases the work life of the cyl. rods and seals considerably. The Px 1802 has a working breadth of 180 cm. The storage bin capacity is approx. 2,3 m3. The controls are hydraulic by means of 2 double working valves. The PX 1802 can be equipped with a built on aerating unit that can be mounted or taken of without tools just like with its predecessors. |
