The Ridder ditchers are machines with a rich history. Few machines in our branch have such a record and general reputation. From 1957 the company Nugteren & van Pelt in Ridderkerk produced these machines. Later the company name was changed into Ridder, named after the place name. During all those years the working principle of the machine, namely, "the turning direction of the wheel opposite of the tractor wheels" has remained the same. In 1984 Schouten Machines obtained the rights to this product. After this many developments have followed to keep the machines up to date according to market demands. The whole series contains 3 basis models, namely the TK25, TK45 and the TK650, whereon diverse sized wheels can be mounted for the desired ditch sizes.
The TK25
The TK25 is the starting model and at the same time the most sold model for use on all types of (farm) companies, that keep maintainence of the water run offs in their own hand. The TK25V is the same machine but then in a perpendicular edition. The machine makes the ditch in the rear right wheel rut. The TK25V is therefore particularly useful for crop farmers to make a ditch in a seeded or planted field. The TK25 is deliverable with a wheel FW0 or FW8
TK45
The Ridder TK45 is the heavy duty built machine for contractor use and large companies that work in heavy grounds. Due to the long building method with the heavy duty frame the machine fits excellently behind larger tractors with broad wheels. The TK45 is deliverable with wheel FW8 or FW12
TK650
The TK650 ditcher from the Ridder family is useful for the most heavy work possible. Due to the heavy duty drive unit in combination with the super wheel the machine gives a wonderful performance. The TK650 is deliverable with wheel FW8super or FW12super.
Heavy drive
The drive units from all Ridder ditchers are built stable and very strong. Over sized gear sets with high quality materials guarantee that these machines have a very long work life.
Working principles
The working principles of the Ridder ditchers is shown here. The wheel turns in the opposite direction of the turning direction of the tractor wheels. This way the machine mills out ground, dredge, plant rests etc. in front of itself and then no drag power is needend. The result is no ruts from the tractor wheels and a well finished ditch.
Drag foot
For a stable working of the Ridder ditcher the machine is equipped with a hinged drag foot on the rear side. The depth adjustment is therefore always simple and optimal.
Adjustable guide plates
All Ridder ditchers are equipped with adjustable guide plates and protection plates. The tractor stays cleaner and the ground stream is adjustable.
